my march mood

While making mood boards for a recent studio assignment, I stumbled across some images that I liked but that were unrelated to my immediate project. Nonetheless, I dragged the images onto my desktop for safe keeping. The mood boards have been a blast to make as well as a great way to keep my Photoshop, Illlustrator, and InDesign skills sharp.

In theory, my mood should be obvious from the photos, but the upshot is winter is still in full force in Minnesota. To cheer myself up, I looked online for images that evoke the beauty of winter. I dig frozen waterfalls and Caroline Yang's speed skaters, who represent one of my favorite Winter Olympic sports. Typography and travel accoutrement always blow my skirt up. Blood oranges are just coming into their peak and are gracing our green salads. That intense orange is the pop of color that I am using for inspiration and to keep my spirits high(er) in the coming month.

Spring will come, and with it, I hope to find some new inspiration.
